Scala

I've been doing a lot more dev work than in the recent past, and I was introduced to Scala by Dave Briccetti one day.  I'm not one to jump on the new language bandwagon, but I've got to say that I'd like to run, not walk, away from Java as soon as possible. 

I'm not smart enough to tell you all the reasons why, but what I can say is that Scala is refreshingly concise and efficient to write in, it solves some the the ugly problems I used to run into with Java, and it just seems like the timing is right for a changing of the guard.
